SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE
Mr. Moody is a Partner in charge of the Forensic Technology practice at Berenfeld, Spritzer, Shechter & Sheer ("Berenfeld Spritzer"). He is certified in the areas of information systems auditing, technology security, and computer forensics.
Mr. Moody has provided assistance to a wide range of plaintiff and defense attorneys, businesses and governmental agencies for almost 20 years. He has served as an expert witness for civil matters in both state and federal courts and is experienced in cases involving:
- Child pornography
- Computer hacking
- Corporate embezzlement
- Destruction of evidence
- Electronic discovery
- Employee malfeasance
- Identity theft
- Money laundering, bank fraud and ponzi schemes
- SOX compliance assessments
- Trade secret or software theft
Under Mr. Moody's direction, the Berenfeld Spritzer Forensic Technology team employs sophisticated software tools and advanced methodologies to protect data integrity and maintain the chain of custody for court admissibility. The team is available for 24 to 48 hour response times to civil or criminal investigations in the 48 states, and 48 to 72 hour response times worldwide.

- Data recovery from 400 hard drives to locate stolen investor funds
- Assisted the U.S. Secret Service in acquiring data from a secure PC
Mr. Moody has lectured for the American Bar Association, federal judges, law firms, CPA firms, and state law enforcement on the topics of data integrity and controls, information security, HIPAA and computer forensics. He has authored or co-authored several articles.
He joined the Berenfeld Spritzer in 2006 following career positions with Grant Thornton and other regional and national accounting firms.
