SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE
Gregory ("Greg") Tait is a Partner in the firm's Tax and Audit practice. He has over 32 years of experience in audit, tax consulting, and personal wealth management services.
Berenfeld was pleased to welcome Mr. Tait in 2003, when he merged his own accounting practice - Tait & Company, P.A., C.P.A.'s - into the firm. Mr. Tait served as Managing Partner of his 14-person firm from 1978 to 2003. During this time he provided assurance and tax services to private companies involved in aircraft maintenance and repair, manufacturing, non-profits, real estate development, and construction.
As a Personal Financial Specialist accredited by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Mr. Tait focuses on developing tax-compliant solutions that help clients protect and grow their assets. He assists business owners, executives, professionals and other high net worth individuals manage their business tax obligations while also planning for a successful retirement through customized personal tax consulting.
Mr. Tait is extremely knowledgeable in the tax requirements for a full range of entities, including corporations, partnerships, foundations, charitable trusts, tax-exempt organizations and foreign corporations.
The State of Florida has relied on Mr. Tait to conduct sales tax audits. He is available to advise you on state and local tax ("SALT") issues across many industries, including manufacturing, wholesale, agriculture and professional services.
Estate planning can be quite complicated, based on an individual's asset portfolio and personal goals. Mr. Tait helps clients select the retirement planning program best suited to their unique needs. He is familiar with the tax requirements for a full range of trusts, including charitable remainder trusts, living trusts, testamentary trusts, revocable living trusts, and irrevocable living trusts. Mr. Tait can also assist you with a private foundation.
